Day 219

Thankful for spending most of the day loving on foster kiddos, power naps, MRIs, delicious dinners at a local restaurant, teaching Lindsey how to drive standard, and Rangers baseball.

Spent today working a local organization's "field day" and felt absolutely blessed to be used as a tool to show God's love to these kids who have had a rough start. I was incredibly encouraged by one of the fathers who with patience, love, and discipline showed his new son the proper way to handle not being the best at something. This father was so loving and got down to the level of his child to show him respect and concern, but did not allow the child to control the situation. It was a beautiful example of the way God handles us, lovingly but firm. He came down to our level by sending Christ and in His absolute grace sacrificed His only true son to foster all of us, even while we were living in our sin. Thankful, thankful, thankful for Christ.
